Last night was the first session for local businesses and property owners to meet the Project Team, find out more about the Gladstone’s View Project and to share their ideas.
The event which was held at BB1 for Life Cafe on Northgate, was well attended and generated some interesting discussion about both the history and future of the area.
Everyone was very supportive of the project and keen to know more about what it might mean for them and their property. Concern’s were raised about road safety to the front of King George’s Hall and the need to attract more food and leisure uses to the area.
As well as local business people, we were also joined by a group of architecture students from Sheffield University who are working on the Blackburn Live Project.
Thanks to Shannon and Kath at BB1 for hosting the event and providing tea and some lovely homemade cake.
