A History of Lancashire

Vote for your favourite historic object for “A History of Lancashire in 70 Object”

As part of  Lancashire Life’s 70th birthday celebrations, the  magazine will feature 70 objects from heritage venues across Lancashire.

Each museum, art gallery and heritage venue has been asked to nominate the objects they believe best represents their area.

Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery has nominated an ‘half-sized’ model of the Blackburn loom and the Blackburn Psalter, and would like locals to choose which one of the two objects they’d most like to see in the pages of Lancashire Life.

To help people choose, two short videos have been created about each object or voters can even pop in to the museum to see them.

You can register your vote here, but do so quickly as deadline is January 31st.

The project is funded by the HLF and is a partnership between Lancashire Heritage learning, Museum Development North West and Lancashire Life.

It aims to engage communities across Lancashire with the objects and stories held in their local museums, galleries and heritage venues.
