Live Project: 29 Northgate

students surveying 29 Northgate Feb 2018

We have some amazing renovation plans for 29 Northgate, but until we are ready to get started we are really happy that the building is providing the perfect training ground for construction students from Blackburn College.

Under the close supervision of their tutor, Bill Rowland (second from left) four HNC Construction and Built Environment students set to work early this morning on a Live Project.

Putting into practice what they have learnt in the classroom, over the next few weeks the students will be surveying the building, considering the various constraints and problems a historic building like this presents, looking at building regulations, materials and costs and coming up with plans of their own for the property.

It’s great to see future construction specialists in the making and we cant wait to see what they come up with.
